Week 2 – Summer Reading Program

We have moved into the second week of our 2017 summer reading program "Build a Better World". This is a free program offered to the community. Children can read and participate in activities to earn stickers for their reading logs and a chance to win prizes.

The special activity this week targeted our primary patrons and allowed them to create a paper tool belt.

We are continuing to receive entries for our LEGO minifigure contest for the month of June. These are displayed on the walls in our juvenile section as they continue to be dropped off.

Other activities that will continue during the entire month include a virtual trip to learn about countries around the world (fill your passport with 10 stamps this summer for a special prize), a chance to challenge others to a giant game of Connect-4, and an opportunity to color a picture or write a thank you letter to be given to our local police department and fire department.

Please note that all activities are free, and you can drop by the library anytime during our regular business hours to participate.
